Service Description

The evaluation process often occurs at a time of questions, challenges, concern, and stress. The River Valley Psychological team is dedicated to a neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based approach. We provide both concise diagnostic and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations in a safe setting. Evaluations are available for children (age 4 and up) through adults. The assessment process serves to clarify strengths, challenges, functioning, neurodevelopmental profile, and diagnosis (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning disorders). Though intensive and at times exhausting, the evaluation process is not the end goal. Indeed, this process often serves as an inflection point for individuals or families to get clarification, validation, and understanding of next steps. Educational advocacy supports are often essential and can be incorporated to help your child focus on learning and developing in the school setting.
